About YouGotThis.ai

YouGotThis.ai was founded to help connect those who want to get paid to teach AI with those who want to pay to learn it.

As it is a brand-new site, right now we are focusing heavily on acquiring experts to teach AI skills before we advertise widely for clients and customers. For ease of use, we've put the following message on both this and the "About" page.

FAQs (for both clients and experts)

Q: How do I book an expert? How long does it take?

A: Easy! And minutes! Clients simply needs to set up a profile of their own.

First, navigate to YouGotThis.ai and click on “Sign Up.” Then:

  • Complete the sign-up form with your personal details.

  • Verify your email by clicking on the link sent to your inbox.

  • Log in to your account and go to “Profile info” to update your profile.

When you find a listing you want to book, all you need to do is select a time and then click the big red “Request” button:

Then you’ll see the listing that you are requesting, as in this sample:

You’ll then be taken to proceed to payment where you’ll be prompted to log in with either a PayPal or Stripe account.

Every step of the way, you’ll be kept apprised of what the next action to take is. After your expert sends you a link to do the video call and your order is complete, you’ll receive this message:

Once you’re done, simply mark the order as complete! (You’ll then be prompted to leave a review and feedback.)

Q: What time zone?

A: EST. Check with your expert to make sure you're both understanding the same time zone as experts can be around the world. You can use a time zone converter like this one to assist.

Q: What if an expert or client needs to change the time to be different than what is requested?

A: If the time requested turns out not to work for the expert but the two of you still want to continue with the consultation the best thing to do is to agree upon a new time in your messaging. Make sure you're in agreement before clicking "accept" as the expert. The new time obviously won't be reflected in the booking but as long as the two of you agree upon it in your messaging there is no problem to adjust the time.

Q: I think I want to sign up to offer my services as an AI expert. How do I know if I should sign up to offer my services as an expert on YouGotThis.ai?

A: Can you teach AI in a thoughtful, effective, respectful way? Are you honest? Then you’re exactly who we are looking for. Even if your only AI skill is being a power user of ChatGPTPlus (knowing how to iterate using Dall-E, PlugIns, Data Analysis and how to really get the most out of it) this is enough to join. Simply list this as the skill you can teach and why you’re great at it.

Q: What is the competitive advantage of listing my services as an expert on YouGotThis.ai?

A: So many reasons!

  • It takes only minutes to sign up to be an expert.

  • The marketplace is built upon the trusted platform of Sharetribe—which has done $3 million in sales successfully.

  • We have the lowest marketplace fees out there (only 10 percent vs. the 20 percent that Fiverr and Upwork take out of what you earn).

  • The payment process on YouGotThis.ai is highly reliable, utilizing Stripe and PayPal exclusively. These platforms are known for their security and efficiency, ensuring quick payouts for our experts.

  • Not only will you be making good money—you’ll be doing a real service to humanity by helping to bridge the digital divide.

Right now the site is brand new—so to incentivize signups for experts we are offering anyone who signs up as one of the first 50 experts—and completes a full profile listing entry—a $100 bonus paid after earning $1,000 on the site in the first year (essentially, the site’s entire commission returned to you).

Q: What should my bio and listing as an expert say?

A: The most important part of joining as an expert is creating a “listing” which allows people to book your services. Each listing has a headline, a photo related to AI or related to what you’re offering and a description of services. Note: If you’re in a hurry you can use your listing text in your bio as well. For your bio: We highly recommend you use a photo. If you don’t like having your photo online, an avatar works.

And here’s the easiest way to iterate your description:

  • Headline: If you’re creatively blanking out, why not ask ChatGPT to help you iterate using this prompt: “Write a high-converting headline offering my AI expertise services as someone who is skilled in [YOUR SKILLS] and has a philosophy of [YOUR PHILOSOPHY] that is under 65 characters”

  • Listing: Filling in this prompt should work for quickly creating a listing:

“Write a high-converting listing offering my AI expertise services as someone who is skilled in [SPECIFIC AI TOOLS, TECH BACKGROUND IF RELEVANT AND IF YOU ALSO OFFER REAL TIME TECH ADAPTATION AND EMERGING TECH] and offers a lot of value through my work in: [DESCRIBE YOUR RELEVANT BACKGROUND AND OVERVIEW] and [ACHIEVEMENTS, SKILLS, PROJECTS]. Include this [PERSONAL TOUCH] and [WHY I'M THE BEST PERSON FOR THE JOB], [ANY OTHER RELEVANT SKILLS], and [CALL TO ACTION].”

Note: “Real Time Tech Adaptation” means you’re willing to try to help with tools you don’t have listed (only offer this if have enough technical expertise to confidently do so) and will show your client how you’re iterating with the AI to problem-solve. “Emerging Tech” means you’re comfortable with tech that might be brand-new. You can, of course, phrase this however you like if you prefer.

  • Photo: Iterate something using an AI art creator—or pull a cool AI picture off of Google that gives people a flavor of your listing! Here are some royalty-free ones I found immediately:

Q: What are the full technical steps to creating a listing to offer my services as an expert and how long does it take?

A: It takes only minutes! First, navigate to YouGotThis.ai and click on “Sign Up.” Then:

  • Complete the sign-up form with your personal details.

  • Verify your email by clicking on the link sent to your inbox.

  • Log in to your account and go to “Profile info” to update your profile.

  • Click on "+ Post a new listing" to start creating your listing.

  • Choose the type of listing you want to offer. There are three: Offering Without Online Payment, Offering With Online Payment and 30-Minute Consultation. If you choose “without online payment” no one is going to be able to book you with payment which is the entire point of the site! We suggest choosing “Offering With Online Payment” and if you want, you can also offer “30 Minute Consultation” as well.

  • Enter the details of your listing including title, price, and description. (You can’t offer less than $20 for your services.)

  • Upload an image that best represents your service. (Google “AI” if you’re coming up blank—or many people show off creations from Midjourney or Dall-E!)

  • Save your listing to make it live on the platform.

  • Go to the “Payments” section to add your preferred payment method (Stripe or PayPal, both secure and backed by both platforms).

  • In “Notifications,” set your preferences for receiving updates and communications.

Q: What happens when someone books me as an expert?

A: This is where notifications come in. When someone books you (which they can only do if you’ve listed your availability schedule and you have added a way to get paid via Stripe or PayPal), you’ll get a notification of the booking in your email and your inbox on YouGotThis.ai (which is powered by Sharetribe so that’s where the email will come from).

The client will pay for your services and then you’ll need to accept it—as you can see in the sample screengrab below.

This means a client could potentially book you right before you have an available window so it’s important to look at and respond to emails right away so as to not miss the booking itself. Unless you only plan to offer your expert tutoring services one time you’ll want to select the green selected “Accept the request and keep the listing open.”

Please be polite, enthusiastic and professional in all communications, and send a Zoom or Google Meet link for the requested time so that you and your client can join. (If your client wants to book you for longer then you’ll need to ensure the client pays and books for you again.)

After you accept the request the first time, the payment will be authorized.

You’ll be kept up to date easily in your inbox throughout as you can see:

Then you’ll need to accept the request once more.

After your session is over the client will click on“Mark completed.”

The client will then be prompted to leave you a review and feedback!

Q: Can a client request a refund?

A: Yes, client satisfaction is key. If a client is not satisfied, they can start a “dispute.” Sellers using PayPal can handle the refund directly. For Stripe payments, our YouGotThis.ai team will facilitate the refund process. We are dedicated to fostering a fair and supportive environment. While encouraging positive interactions, we also vigilantly protect our sellers from any misuse of the refund process, ensuring a balanced and trustworthy marketplace experience for everyone. Anyone abusing this system will be removed.

Q: What do I need to know about expertly guiding people who book me?

A: It basically comes down to asking questions at the start and throughout.

  • It also comes down to attitude. If you don’t have a respectful, kind and appreciative attitude for clients who are learning how to upskill, this is not the platform for you.

  • The main question we suggest people ask is: “What would you like to achieve?” and then checking in with them throughout. “Everything clear? Is this helpful?”

  • No one is expecting you to be able to teach someone everything there is to know about a tool that might take hours and hours to learn, so just be realistic.

  • It’s also in our Terms of Service that everything in the call is confidential and proprietary to the client. Any breach of that is in violation of the TOS.

  • Of course, in some cases, if a client’s need is to create a training video or YouTube video and you’re fine with being part of it, as long as you give consent, it’s fine to use trainings or recordings in YouTube videos or for other deliverables—but that consent needs to be obtained on video.

  • Because many clients will want to review their call later, when you send a Zoom or Google Meet link, be sure to enable recording for both participants and ask them at the start if they want to record it for later review.

Q: Can I sign up as an expert if I list my services on another platform?

A: Absolutely.

Q: Can I upsell clients on my own personal AI products or offer my services to clients off the platform?

A: No. This is in violation of TOS. The platform is built on trust, which includes the client having a break from the constant upselling that surrounds the AI space. Of course it’s fine to refer to work you’ve done if it’s relevant, but any attempt to sell a client on a program or a course or a mastermind you’re doing will result in a permanent ban from the platform and a rightful “dispute” charge by the client.

Q: As an expert, can I refuse to work with a client? Can a client refuse to work with an expert?

A: Absolutely. We are a full-model consent platform.

Q: Is my full name and data revealed on the platform?

When someone is paying an expert, the email address they are sending payment to is shown. We only show first name and first letter of last name. When you do a Zoom or Google Meet, if your settings reveal your full name it will be shown there.

Q: As an expert, can I list my YouGotThis.ai profile on my own social media to drum up business for people to start hiring me as an AI expert?

A: For sure!
